We pride ourselves on being a listening organisation. What local people think about their health services is important to us, and your views can make a real difference to what we do.

We are always keen to hear your views about any issue relating to the NHS locally – but sometimes changes to services or other plans for the future are so important that we carry out specific pieces of consultation, involvement or information sharing activity.

In this section of our website you will find links to:

Engagement Exercise for the Implementation of New Policies

NHS Walsall, one of the Black Country Cluster of Primary Care Trusts (PCTs), is undertaking a four week patient and public engagement exercise to inform our stakeholders about new policies that are coming into place.

We want your thoughts and views on the approach we have taken and what information and support you think patients and the public will need to feel fully informed of the change and what they mean.

Quality Improvements

There is an opportunity for Walsall provider organisations, voluntary groups and local charities to apply for non recurrent financial support to assist in the implementation of quality initiatives that demonstrate the direct impact on healthcare for Walsall residents.

The NHS has launched a major four month public consultation on the way children’s congenital heart services should be provided in the future. The NHS is urging everyone with an interest in children’s congenital heart services to take part in the consultation and have their say on these vital services.

NHS Listening Excersise

The Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Health launched the NHS Listening Exercise on 6 April.

The Exercise will make use of the natural pause in the passage of the Health Bill to pause, listen, reflect and improve.

During the 8 week period, the Government will listen to stakeholders from across the health and social care sector, staff, patients and the public to reflect on their concerns about the modernisation of the NHS
