Sexual Health
Walsall SH Competency, Qualification and Training Framework explains the knowledge and skills that are needed by all staff across Walsall who are talking to or caring for clients who have sexual health concerns.
The Framework applies to all frontline staff including receptionists and staff from clinical and non-clinical settings. The aim of the document is to provide practitioners from both clinical and non-clinical settings with:
• competency, qualification and training guidance which links competencies with activities
• information on relevant courses, training and qualifications for each competency
• provide guidance on performance monitoring tools
• provide a basis for agency specific competency, qualification and training frameworks. Providers need to consider which competencies apply to staff and how they will be monitored.

The Walsall SH Competency, Qualification & Training Assessment Template is a form or tool to be used by staff to work out whether they have the necessary knowledge and skills, and for managers to monitor staff development.
