A rapid HIV testing clinic has been set up in Walsall which allows patients to get a test and their results within fifteen minutes. The clinic runs between 2pm and 4pm the last Thursday of every month at Little London Surgery.
Barbara Phillips, Service Transformation Manager for NHS Walsall, said: ‘The clinic is run by a group of friendly staff and is open to anyone who wants to pop in and get tested. Anyone who needs it will be referred to our HIV services where they will get advice and a wide range of support. Staff at the clinic believe it will be especially useful for people who have lived in countries where there is a lot of HIV.’
