Monday meetings for mums from Walsall

Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust (Walsall tPCT) is offering mums in Walsall the chance to learn all they need to know about how to juggle being a mum while still taking time out for themselves. The Parent Support Group is run every Monday between 1pm and 3pm at The Children’s Centre in Bentley. It aims to offer mums the opportunity to get together and meet healthcare professionals who can offer advice, answer questions and help with any problems they may come across.

Fred Archer, Health Visitor for Walsall tPCT, said: “The classes are a good way for mums to meet up and exchange their own experiences of being a mum as well as learn new skills for both themselves and their babies.”

The classes will cover various aspects such as healthcare and safety issues surrounding bringing up a baby as well as tips on how to make time for themselves. Mums can learn new skills such as how to fit baby seats correctly, general car safety, health promotion, Indian head massages and baby massage.
