Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust appoints Two Non-Executives

Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust (Walsall tPCT) is pleased to announce the appointment of two Non-Executive Directors Dr Robina Gutteridge and Mr Ian French.  Walsall tPCT is the main NHS body charged with meeting the health and needs of people of the borough of Walsall, West Midlands.

 

Born in 1964, Ian French is a Business Development Executive for Hill & Smith Holdings PLC, and has previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and BBC Pebble Mill, as well as Coopers & Lybrand and Robson Rhodes. He holds an MSc from the University of Central England. He is married and lives in Sutton Coldfield.

 

Dr Robina Gutteridge is a Senior Academic in Learning and Teaching for the

Birmingham UCE. She has previously held posts at Newman College, Coventry University, The Open University, Sandwell Health Authority, South Birmingham Health Authority, Selly Oak Hospital, West Birmingham Health Authority and East Birmingham Health Authority.  She holds a PhD in Social Relations from Keele University and a BA from the Open University.  She lives in Halesowen.

 

Both Dr Robina Gutteridge and Mr Ian French have been appointed as Non-Executives with a remuneration of £7,500 each. Dr Robina begins her appointment on 1 June 2007 and continues until 31 May 2009. Mr Ian French begins on 1 June 2007 until the 31 May 2010.

 

The appointment has made in accordance with the OCPA Code of Practice.

 

All Non- Executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees political activity (if any declared) to be made public.

 

Neither appointees have declared any political activity or any other Ministerial appointments.
