Walsall children and parents pedal push their way around for Childline

Nursery children will today be hopping on their bikes and pedalling their way to a healthy lifestyle thanks to Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust (Walsall tPCT). The event, which is being run in conjunction with the children’s charity Childline, is taking place at Greenfields Children’s Centre in Shelfield. The toddlers will be raising money for other children while learning about the importance of healthy eating and regular exercise.

Alison Welsh, Community Nursery Nurse for Walsall tPCT, said: “Children are full of energy and always running around. Pedal Push is a great way of getting the children to put their energy to good use and raise some money for charity whilst learning about the importance of exercise and healthy eating.”

The children will be presented with medals, certificates, stickers, a bag of fruit and a carton of fruit juice in a celebration assembly.
