Quit for good not for the day

With less than a week left to go until National No Smoking Day Walsall Stop Smoking Services (WSSS) are urging residents to drop in a quit not just for a day but for good. Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust (Walsall tPCT), aims to reassure smokers of the variety of free help available to them and encourage them to say goodbye forever. Locally, during March 2007 there will be drop in sessions held at various locations across the borough.

Joanna Robinson, Smoking Cessation Co-Ordinator for Walsall tPCT, said: “Giving up smoking isn’t easy, but with the right help you can get rid of cigarettes for good. With National No Smoking Day coming up we want to encourage people to give up for good rather than just a day. There has never been more help available with lots of drop in sessions being run right across the borough offering residents a way to quit that’s right for them.”

Walsall Stop Smoking Services offer help and support to anyone who is considering stopping. One to one support is available at various times and locations throughout Walsall. During March 2007 there will be drop in sessions held where residents can get free support and Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
