Walsall tPCT presents Touch Wood
Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust (Walsall tPCT) is proud to present ‘Touch Wood’ the breast awareness performance of the year. The play, which is performed by the Women and Theatre Group, tells the humorous journey of a woman invited to attend breast screening for the first time. It debuts at Bloxwich Library Theatre on 20 March 2007 at 2pm.
Naheed Razzaq, Breast and Cervical Outreach Officer for Walsall tPCT, said: “We are hoping to raise awareness of the symptoms of breast and cervical cancer and encourage women to attend the screening when requested. We hope the women who come and see they play will take the message home to their family and friends.”
The performance is light hearted yet educational with the aim of providing women with the knowledge and awareness of the breast and cervical screening process. There will be lots of information and health professionals available to offer support and guidance.
The play is free to attend and tickets are available by telephoning the Cancer Information Support Services on 0800 783 9050. The doors open at 1.30pm and there will be free refreshments available.
