iPod winner is presented with prize
The winner of a Christmas competition run by Walsall Teaching Primary Care Trust (Walsall tPCT) was presented with an iPod nano at Walsall Football Club last night (Monday 15 January). Victoria Webster was one of hundreds of residents who correctly texted the word ‘think’ to ‘txt 64446 Health’. The common word appeared in everyone of the seven texts sent over the Christmas period.
Paul Jennings, Chief Executive of Walsall tPCT, said: “The Christmas competition was a great success and allowed us to get across some important key messages. It was nice to get such a good response and be able to reward someone with a prize.”
Roy Whalley, Saddlers Chief Executive, said: "It's great to see hundreds of people from Walsall using the 'txt 64446 Health' service. It's nice to see that one of the subscribers has been given a prize and it was only fitting that they received their iPod nano here at Bescot Stadium last night."
The winner was presented with a silver 2GB nano iPod at half time at the Walsall football match on Monday night.
Anyone who wants to sign up for their free health updates can do so by texting the word’ Health’ to 64446. The service is entirely free but joining the service costs the normal text rate. This is a one-off charge. The Txt 64446 Health campaign is in association with Walsall Football Club.
