NHS Walsall Trust appoints

NHS Walsall is pleased to announce the re-appointment of Non-executive director Timothy Oliver.  NHS Walsall is the main NHS body charged with meeting the health and needs of people of the borough of Walsall, West Midlands.

 

Born on 28 May 1957, Timothy Oliver is the Chief Executive of Palfrey Community Association, and has previously worked for Walsall MBC and Alumwell Comprehensive School. He holds a BA Hons from the University of Birmingham.

 

Mr Oliver has been re-appointed as Non-executive director with effect from 1 July 2009 until 30 June 2012 and will receive remuneration of £7,882 per annum. 

 

The appointment has been made in accordance with the OCPA Code of Practice.

 

All Non-executive director appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public.

 

Mr Oliver is Leader of the Walsall Labour Group and has a number of other public positions.
