Volunteers Wanted!!

NHS Walsall Community Health is calling for residents to volunteer their time for just a few hours a week to help with jobs such as driving cancer patients to appointments, helping out with day hospice patients or even general administration work. Volunteers play a vital role within the organisation as they provide much needed help and support to staff.

Beryl Radford , Voluntary Services Manager for NHS Walsall Community Health, said: ‘Volunteers play an important role within the organisation and provide a real helping hand to staff. In return for their time volunteers gain experience, confidence, meet new people and make new friends as well as get the chance to try new things which may help them into paid work or a change of career in the future.’

Volunteers come from all backgrounds, ranging from students to those who are retired. If you are interested in giving some of your time and enthusiasm to helping others within the community you can apply via email beryl.radford@walsall.nhs.uk or by calling 01922 443789.
