Help NHS Walsall to deliver its World Class Commissioning Vision

As NHS Walsall develops its approach to World Class Commissioning, we are seeking to procure high quality, evidence based, dental services to improve the oral health of the people of Walsall.  We wish to commission 20,000 UDAs of new dental services in the East of Walsall in one or two of the following areas: Aldridge North and Walsall Wood, Aldridge Central and South, Pheasey Park Farm or Streetly, subject to public consultation.  Our Vision is to reduce inequalities in health and improve the health status of the people of Walsall.  Access to NHS dentistry is a key priority for NHS Walsall and an important issue for local people. 

The new practice(s) must be up and running by September 2009 and it is expected that the provider will mobilise a highly skilled and innovative workforce to meet the service needs.  The provider will be responsible for securing and managing a premises solution for the delivery of the service, to aid this, providers may be eligible for NHS Walsall capital funding.
